Changes in Laws, Regulations and Regulatory Body
There will not be unreasonable or unnecessary modifications in the Study Notes for IIQE usually. The biggest change in the different versions of Study Notes in recent years is the alteration of laws, guidelines and regulatory frameworks, which is now reflected in the new version of Study Notes accordingly. For instance, the Insurance Claims Complaints Bureau was renamed to the Insurance Complaints Bureau in 2018; the regulatory duty has been handed over from HKFI and 3 other self-regulated organisations to the Insurance Authority (IA) since 23 September 2019; the Insurance Companies Ordinance was renamed Insurance Ordinance.
